ABOUT US

Well first of all, Cookie and Bert are my two lovely little people. Cookie is really Apollonia Coco but got her name Cookie because she looked like the Cookie Monster as a baby. I’m still figuring out how I’ll tell her that when she’s older. A giggling, biting, kiss machine, she’s often referred to as a thug in a cocktail dress but gets away with pretty much everything because she’s so darn cute. Then Bert is my first born, Bertie Vikram - the funniest, sweetest, cuddliest, strangest, quirkiest, kindest little boy you will ever meet. Then there’s me - Poppy. I moved to Singapore with my husband, Richard, eight years ago and soon fell in love with the Korean style clothing that is so popular in malls and some areas of the island.

So, why kids clothing? Well, I’ve worked in fashion, beauty and lifestyle for my whole career. I’ve worked for the likes of Tatler, Harpers Bazaar and Harrods and, as it does for so many women, my life totally changed when I had kids. I faced the challenge of wanting to still work, not letting all that hard work building my career go to waste, but couldn’t face leaving the littles for too long. As my website searches changed from pieces for me to things for them, and after multiple tellings off from my husband when the credit card bills came in, I realised that I was spending a fortune of things that were just meh. I wanted the kids to dress like me a bit, I wanted them to wear something different that not every other toddler in class had so, after thinking about it, researching it and talking about it for two years, I finally took the plunge and started my own kids wear line. Ta da!

Each piece is created by me and made from small manufacturers in either Korea or China. The pieces are made in small quantities so that we can keep coming up with new designs and wowing you with new creations. I’ve kept the Singapore weather in mind so all the pieces are made with that in mind and Ive kept the pricing as low as I can so you don’t have to have any awkward conversations when it comes to credit card statement time or get any buyers remorse.
